Personal breastfeeding experience: Mother of 2 boys; I have had a 5.5 years of breastfeeding experience between both my kids. Breastfed until 2 years with my first child and with my second child I had extremely painful Breastfeeding journey right from day 1 and he was diagnosed with Oral restrictions (tongue tie and lip tie). After the tongue tie release I had an amazing breastfeeding experience which lasted for 3.5 years until my youngest self weaned. Having had my own struggles with breastfeeding a tongue tie baby, I have been continuously educating myself to support these dyads better. As a Private practicing Lactation counselor I am able to provide continuous skilled lactation support for mothers by holistically understanding the dynamics of the mother baby dyad.
